'Moon River' is a 2D top-down view brain-twisting game.

The player is locked in the screenplay : when he crosses the boundaries, he finds himself teleported to the other side of the screen.

The player has to go through different levels, leading him to use the abilities of the character to solve a series of puzzles becoming more and more complex as the game progresses.

The game is playable on MacOSX, PC and Linux and is playable with xBox controller or keyboard.

visually and musically stunning, interesting mechanic too - took me a little while to figure out. it reminds me of a more realistic-looking Monument Valley in some ways. I particularly love the attention to detail in the velvety texture of the 'carpet', little plants and birds and stuff. excited to play the rest of the game when it comes out.

Thanks a lot for your kind words :) Really glad you liked it!

Thank a lot for your comment, I am currently working on the 6th level, where the character encounters the monster that locked him inside the screen. So maybe I'll published a first 'full version' of the game soon...!

And yes the highlighted 'here' was meant to be a link, I fixed it. Thanks for your observation!

Beautifully rendered game with a soothing soundtrack!

Thanks a lot, really glad you liked the music !

Beautiful game, really enjoyed it :)

Thanks for playing!

WOW. Best game I've played on itch. I got my degree in sound for games. If you ever need sound or music for anything, let me know. I'm blown away by your creativity and execution.

Very interesting, I really liked the art and the game did not overstay its welcome.

VERY VERY creative and really good game. Only one issue here is that the resolution of the game in window platform. The maximum resolution is somewhat 640 x 400 which is pretty low. If you fix that, it would be perfect.

Thanks a lot, about the resolution issue, it doesn't happen to me when I try but I'll try to see why it's happening. Thanks for playing!

Sweet little game, enjoyed it! :D

Thanks a lot, glad you liked it :)

I enjoyed this demo. After seeing your video looking at the next few levels I'm really looking forward to the more complex and challenging stuff.

Looks and sounds great. Good start.

Hey thanks for you video! And yes the first levels are made to learn the player how to move around and learn the mechanisms, and they will be more and more complex. About the end of the level, it's maybe 'cheap' but I just wanted a kind of smooth end of the level, but I get your point!

Any chance of a 64bit Linux version so we don't have to hunt down 32bit dependencies?

Hey after some research, it seems that Unity can't export 64 bit builds (correct me if I'm wrong!). But if they do in the future I'll make one!

Since when? Unity has been able to since...forever? Tons of Linux unity games offer up both 32bit and 64bit.

Ok my bad! I uploaded a build for 64 bits on Linux, try it out and tell me if it's okey?

Yep the 64bit version is now up, thanks a lot :)

Hi,

No I don't mind at all, it's kind of you!

By the way, when did you download the game? Because it's look like the old version of the demo… Or maybe the download link hasn't been updated yet?

Oh, I downloaded it straight from the itch.io page, the same day I played it.

Can't seem to download the demo. Itch says not available on Windows. Q_Q

Hi,

I reuploaded and I forgot to tick the OS for each file, but now it should work!
Sorry about that !

The antagonist looks a lot like that of Hyper Light Drifter's.

Yes, it's pretty close - however, after someone pointed out the same thing on Steam (Greenlight), the developer already announced that this shady guy's appearance will be changed.

okay, thank you for the information.

I'm really liking what's in the demo. Made a video too -
Good luck with Greenlight! Looking forward to seeing the next level. :)

Hey thanks a lot for the support, I really appreciate :)

Also thanks for all the good things you say about the game during your gameplay, I like the way you explain the game. And nice fps you've got, what do you use to record ? I'm struggling to get a good quality when screen casting.

Thank you really, it's great to see Greenlight games with demos. I didn't want it to end. :)

I recorded with good 'ol OBS. The in-game resolution was 1650 x 1050 cause for some reason I didn't get 1920x1080 as an option, and I set the bitrate to 25500 kb/s. Encoder was NVENC, quality balance 10.

Glad to hear you liked the demo.

And thank you for the information, I didn't know about OBS, I'll check it out!

Oh my god, This is one of the best games ive played!

Thanks a lot for your kind words and for playing !

Wow this game was so beautiful!

Thanks for playing and for your positive feedback :)
